Yoga for Men – 4 week course

I’m so excited that my Yoga for Men course starts this Thursday 7th May and I only have a couple of spaces left!  I think it really appeals to guys to have their own space, to let go, have fun, learn together and feel that sense of connection and community that’s integral to a yoga class but is sometimes a bit daunting to step into when there are super experienced and confident bendy Wendys on the next mat.

The course will cover the basics of a power class to ensure that the practice can be tailored to work for you so that you don’t feel hindered by any variations you might want to make for knees, back issues etc.  There will be more attention paid to hips, shoulders and hamstrings which are traditionally areas where men suffer from more tightness and can lead to weakness or injury.  I’ll still offer progressions for those who want them but often just holding the posture for longer is going to have a massive training effect.

The 4 week course will run Thursdays 7, 14, 21 May and 4th June at Alexandra Infants, Alexandra Road, Kingston KT2 6SE  7.45-8.45pm.  The cost is £48 payable in advance.

Note – Men are of course welcome to come to any of the other all-level mixed classes however this might give you the confidence to let go, take a risk, have fun with it and discover what works best for you.
